Yorkshire Terrier
- The Yorkshire Terrier is member of the Toy Group weighing in at about 7 lbs. The hair should be groomed out straight and is generally long and silky. Although the Yorkie’s hair may be long they can get very cold so take care if you live in colder climates. It is said that Yorkshire Terrier’s only lose their hair when brushed, therefore it’s been stated they do not shed.

Yorkie
- As with all breeds listed in the toy group their health issues are more likely to come from falls, other dogs and clumsy owners. Yorkies have a life span ranging from 10 to 15 years with the smaller variety, referred to as “Teacups,” weighing in at about 3 lbs. ranging a little less as they are more prone to cronic health problems.
- As with all dogs regular teeth cleanings are a must especially for older dogs. Their teeth can become just as sensitive as humans. Keep with regular veterinary visits and your Yorkshire Terrier should have a good long life.
- As with all pet services whether the Breeder you choose, the veterinarian, Professional Groomer, and boarding ensure you have thoroughly vetted the people. Visit the Groomer facility and staff; see exactly where your dog will sleep if boarding and find out how much time they will spend with your dog – feeding time, how often do they take dogs for a walk, etc.
