Beauceron
- The Beauceron is a large breed with a height of 24 – 27 ½ inches from shoulder to ground and can weigh up to 110 lbs with a life expectancy of 10 to 12years. It is not unheard of for a 3 month old puppy to weigh 40 lbs.
- Because of the size of this breed diet and exercise should be monitored as they are prone to bloat and can flip their stomach if they engage in heavy activity after eating. Also resulting from their size, they can develop hip & joint problems; however, almost all US breeders use hip certified dogs.

Beauceron
- As with all dogs regular teeth cleanings are a must especially for older dogs. Their teeth can become just as sensitive as humans. Because they have shorter hair, grooming is easy as they are only average shedders.
- As a member of the herding group, Beauceron’s love exercise and should be given plenty of room to walk & play…not just short walks but, long 2 or 3 mile hicks. Great for not only the dog but, their master as well.
- As with all pet services whether the Breeder you choose, the veterinarian, Professional Groomer, and boarding ensure you have thoroughly vetted the people. Visit the Groomer facility and staff; see exactly where your dog will sleep if boarding and find out how much time they will spend with your dog – feeding time, how often do they take dogs for a walk, etc.
